6.6.5.1
Minimum Height Override
Each sensor has a preset minimum height. The sensor is not allowed to
operate at a target height below the minimum setting. The purpose of this
setting is two-fold. First, it prevents the sensor from operating in a situation
where it cannot view an acceptable sample of the ground or crop. The size
of area the sensor will "see" decreases with its height. This is particularly
important when spraying in crop. Second, in severe terrain situations, it
prevents the average reading from two sensors on the same boom from
bringing either individual sensor too close to the ground or crop.
Refer to the menu structure shown in Section 5.4.3 to locate the menu items
named below. To enter change the boom locations do the following.
1.
Make sure you are in manual mode, at the operating screen.
2.
Navigate to the "More ?" item in the Sensor Display menu.
Press AUTO (YES).
3.
Navigate to the "Other ?" menu item and press AUTO (YES).
4.
At the "MHC" screen, use the +/- switch to edit the setting to the
desired value. This is the minimum height setting for CROP
mode. It is not recommended to set this below 22 inches.
