5.2 Before Operation
5.2.1 Greasing for Guide Bar
Clean the gauge (groove) of the guide bar.
* If they are not cleaned, dust, wood sap, or chain oil becomes hardened, which causes
the pole pruner to be unmovable for the next operation.
Sprocket nose type guide bar requires grease for the bearing at the tip of the sprocket.
Greasing the guide bar will reduce the problems of premature wear or excessive damage, maintaining the
certain performance, resulting in extension of the service life.
Remove the guide bar from the pole pruner.
Refer to "3.1 Installation and Removal of Saw Chain Guide Bar."
Remove the chips , dust, etc. accumulated in the hole of the chain oil with a thin
bar.
Note
● Do not push the chips, dust, etc. in the grease hole.
Supply lithium heat-resistant grease [2]
from the grease fill opening [1].
Note
● If appropriate amount of the grease is applied
to the guide bar, the grease comes out a
little from the groove of the guide bar. After
greasing, wipe off the excessive grease.
5.2.3 Drive Sprocket Check
Remove the chain guide bar.
Refer to "3.1 Installation and Removal
of Saw Chain Guide Bar."
