PROCEDURES
6
5.1 - Warnings for programming
• In general
- Strictly observe the time limits specified in the procedures.
- Positions
0
and
1
of the shutter, mentioned in the text, correspond to those shown
in
fig
.
5.
-
during installation and adjustment operations, while final electrical connections
are still to be made, the tubular motor can be controlled with Nice’s specific
“TTU” unit (
fig. 2
).
5.2 - Warning for programming of limit switches
The limit switches “
0
” and “
1
” (
fig. 5
) represent the basic positions of the shutter at
the end of the Ascent (“0”) or at the end of the Descent (“1”).
On shutters compatible with the Era Star P tubular motors these positions are deter-
mined by the Ascent travel limit “stops”, which therefore determine the maximum
shutter opening, and by the “anti-intrusion” springs which prevent the shutter from
being manually lifted when completely closed.
– Brown:
= Electric ascent/descent phase.
– Black:
= Electric descent/ascent phase.
– Blue:
= Common (usually connected to Neutral).
– Yellow-green:
= Earth (equipotential bonding protection).
• Associating the Ascent and Descent movements to the re-
spective buttons
After making the connections, run a number of manoeuvres to ensure that the
ascent and descent movements are associated correctly with the respective control
buttons. If this is not so, invert the connection of the
Brown
and
Black
wires.
PROGRAMMING

6.1 - Programming the limit switches

”
Caution!
-
This programming procedure is suitable for shutters with safety stops and anti-intrusion springs.
01.
Keep the
Ascent
(or
Descent
) button pressed to move the shutter until it is half open.
02.
Keep the
Ascent
button pressed until the shutter stops due to the impact of the safety stops against the shutter box (limit switch “0”), then release the button.
03.
Keep the
Descent
button pressed until the shutter stops due to the impact with the window sill (limit switch “1”), then release the button.

6.2 - Deletion and resetting of factory settings
The deletion operation can be carried out following one of the two procedures described.
A - Deletion with wall-mounted buttons which are not interlocked (or using the TTU external keypad):
01.
Press and hold the two
Up
and
Down
buttons simultaneously and wait for the shutter to complete a short movement. Release the
Down
button.
02.
Within 3 seconds of completing the movement, press the
Down
button 3 times.
03.
Release the
Up
button.
