CALCULATE SAMPLE ADJUSTMENT 

The 

Sample Adjustment

 tool assists you in calculating the adjustment necessary in order to achieve a specified 

target concentration or target number of cell

s 

in a tube. Before calculating this adjustment, you must first perform 

a count on either a live image or saved image to display the current cell count and concentration (or live/dead 
count, total cell count, viability %, live cell concentration and total cell concentration if 

Test Viability

 was selected). 

To calculate sample adjustment: 

1.

 

Click on the 

Sample Adjustment 

icon         to launch the tool. 

2.

 

Choose the concentration source to be used for calculating the 
adjustment (live, dead or total concentration) and click 

Continue

. 

3.

 

Enter the 

Original Sample Volume

. The 

Total Cell Number in 

Sample 

value will be updated according to sample volume. 

4.

 

Choose whether you want a 

Target Concentration (cells/mL) 

or a 

Target Number of Cells

 and enter the target concentration 

or cell count accordingly. 

5.

 

Click 

Apply Change

. In the 

Sample Adjustment

 field, a statement will appear indicating how to adjust the 

sample to reach the targeted concentration or cell count. 

6.

 

Click the 

Print with Report

 check box to include adjustment results in the data report. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alternatively, this tool can be activated by selecting the 

Sample Adjustment 

option from the Analysis Menu.
