Chapter 5. Operation 

This chapter describes installing the software and steps to be performed when using instrument for the first time. 

WARNING: Never force the door open or place a foreign object inside the Auto Sample Slot. Should 
anything get stuck or spill inside the sample slot, power OFF the instrument and contact Nexcelom 
Support for service at +1 (978) 327-5340 or via email:

INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE 

If the Operating Computer was purchased from Nexcelom along with the instrument, the software was pre-
installed on the laptop and you can skip this section. Continue to

Note: 

Ensure that instrument is 

not

 connected to the computer during software installation until specified. 

To install the Cellometer software on a computer that was 

not

 purchased from Nexcelom, follow these steps. 

1.

 

Insert Software USB Drive that was included with the instrument into USB port of the Operating Computer. 

2.

 

Extract files contained on the USB to the computer desktop. 

3.

 

On the desktop of Operating Computer, double-click the 

Cellometer_

version

.exe

 file (where 

version

 

represents the version being installed).  

4.

 

Click 

Next

 to begin the Auto T4 software installation.
