Check adjustment of the presser pad. Containers should be gripped lightly but firmly
between the presser pad and the applicator wheel. If necessary, adjust by turning the
TRACK GUIDES hexagonal nut with the special spanner provided.
Turn isolator to “ON” and clear all alarm messages as they appear on power up. Turn
key-switch to SET UP mode and disable Overprint, UV and Barcode.
LAYOUT OF ADJUSTMENTS
Place a number of containers on the conveyor and push them gently towards the
applicator drum. Press the start button and observe spacing of containers through
labelling station. If the spacing of containers is not uniform then re-adjust the presser
pad in or out by turning the TRACK GUIDES hexagonal adjuster.
Peel labels from the backing material for about 0.5 metres. Place label reel on feed
disc and thread around shock arm rollers and along label track towards application
point. Ensure that the web passes correctly through the end of label reel sensor (where
fitted), tensioner assembly, label sensor(s) and other equipment such that the lower
edge of the backing material is level and resting lightly along the lower web supports.
Take free end of the label web around the stripper plate (labels should be facing
applicator drum) and feed it up to, but not into, the label feed roller guard.
Set label sensors in accordance with instructions in subsequent section.
Adjust Machine Speed to a low setting, press MAIN DRIVE start button and, with
exception of label feed, the machine should now run.
