3A.4 SET UP MODE FUNCTIONS
Set Up is accessed with key turned to the horizontal position.
Set Up Mode Screen
F1 – Clear counters
F2 – Enable
F3 – Disable
F4 – Jog label
Counters
Set Up mode allows counter screens to be viewed as Run mode. The F1 button to
clear counters is active in Set Up mode only if the machine is stopped.
Inhibits
Set Up mode provides the facility to switch security systems off to assist in machine
set up. When disabled, the device will still function correctly (providing it is correctly
set) but the control system will not act upon the signals, the machine will not stop and
a fault message will not be displayed. Scroll through screens with the UP / DOWN
buttons and select F3 (use F2 to enable).
The following devices may be disabled:
•
OVERPRINT to bypass the overprint detector
•
UV to bypass the missing label sensor
•
BARCODE to bypass the barcode reader
•
PRODUCT SENSOR to prevent labelling of containers
Label Jog
Labels may be jogged to advance them along the label arm when threading up a new
reel, setting sensors or after a web break. To jog a label, prevent containers from
reaching the product sensor, switch on the machine and press F4 to dispense a single
label for each press.
