surrounded by blue dotted line is an EAN-13 barcode while the part circled by red dotted line is a two-digit add-on code.

Disable 2-Digit Add-On Code:
The scanner decodes EAN-13 and ignores the add-on code when
presented with an EAN-13 plus 2-digit add-on barcode. It can also decode EAN-13 barcodes without
2-digit add-on codes.
Enable 2-Digit Add-On Code:
The scanner decodes a mix of EAN-13 barcodes with and without 2-digit
add-on codes.
