if you are using the 50

termination mode you can disable
this to increase drive levels as a test.
When using the hardware trigger, note there is currently
no indication that a trigger event is occurring
. That is,
there is no message printed to serial port as when you press
the front-panel button or use the API. You must use the os-
cilloscope monitor probe with the hardware trigger to
confirm the device is triggering.
RJ12 Expansion Connector
The ChipSHOUTER can be controlled using asynchronous serial
through the RJ12 port on the device. DO NOT connect this ca-
ble to general use ports on other devices like ethernet or
phone ports. Connection to a computer can be easily made by
using the USB interface board and a micro-USB cable. The
pinout found on that board can be used by more advanced us-
ers to interface with the ChipSHOUTER using other
specialized equipment. The USB adapter board requires FTDI
VCP drivers to be installed. The serial configuration of the
ChipSHOUTER is 115200 baud 8N1.
The pinout of the RJ12 jack is shown in Figure 5. More
information on the USB adapter board is provided on page 59.
