Tie one end of the chord to the spring. See
(A).
2
Connect the spring to the damper.
3
Tie the other end of the cord to the ring.
6 Maintenance instructions
See
. Check the following points, regarding
fixing, functioning and wear, at periodic intervals but
at least once a year or when mounting spare parts.
1
The fixing of the rail brackets.
2
The hose.
3
The end stops.
4
The trolley stop.
5
The wheels of the suction trolley.
6
Check that the suction trolley moves easily in the
whole length of the rail.
7
Check the guide ways of the suction trolley for
wear. Clean the guideways if necessary.
8
Check the rubber buffer and the shock absorber of
the suction trolley.
9
The nozzle.
10 Check that there is enough suction power in the
exhaust hose.
11 The operation of the balancer. Make sure that the
hose lifts up properly. If necessary, adjust the lift-
ing power of the balancer, see
.
12 The cord on the balancer.
13 Check the disconnection operation on systems
with automatic disconnection. If necessary, adjust
the bowden wire on the suction trolley.
14 Check the tightness of the screws in the joint con-
nectors.
6.1 Adjusting the lifting power of the
balancer
See
. The balancer has a factory set lifting
power. It is possible to adjust the lifting power accord-
ing to the following description.
6.1.1 Increasing the lifting power
1
Loosen the stop ball (C).
2
Unscrew the safety screw (A).
3
Use a locking handle (B) and turn anti-clockwise
one revolution at a time. Each revolution is marked
with a “click” position. Turn until the hose has
moved to the required resting position.
4
Push the stop ball (C) up as far as possible. Fasten
the stop ball in this position.
5
Turn the locking handle one revolution more.
6
Check that the stop ball is caught by the stop
clamp and that the damper is closed. If not, screw
the adjusting screw (D) downwards a little.
7
Fasten the safety screw (A).
6.1.2 Reducing the lifting power
1
Unscrew the safety screw (A).
2
Use a locking handle (B) and turn a little anticlock-
wise.
3
Push the button (E). Release one revolution clock-
wise at a time. For each revolution, the button (E)
returns to its original position.
4
Fasten the safety screw (A). If necessary, adjust
the stop ball position on the cord.
6.1.3 Checking of procedure
1
Make sure the safety screw (A) is in position.
2
Pull the hose to its maximum extent and check
that the balancer winds the hose to its normal po-
sition at an even and steady pace. Hold the hose
by hand while it returns.
