The speaker cables are connected to the I/O board. Simply pull the wire
cable attached to the speakers and promptly remove them.
Removing / Replacing the Motherboard
The motherboard contains the major chipset and components needed to run the
notebook. Follow these steps on how to remove and replace the motherboard.
Removing the Motherboard

Before removing the motherboard, first disassemble all base unit modules
referenced in the previous sections.

On the motherboard, remove the four short hex bolts. Two are located at the
right end side, one located near the CPU module connector, and the other
located near the nose of the PCMCIA slot connector.

Remove the long hex bolt located at the right side of the CD-ROM module
connector, just at the centre.

Finally, remove the three round screws located at the rear end of the
motherboard near the I/O ports. Two of the screws are found near the centre;
the third one is located on the right end side.

When all screws and bolts are removed, slowly detached the motherboard
from the base unit casing.

After removing the motherboard, you can also pull out the I/O port bracket.
7.
To remove the I/O port bracket, use a hex bolt screwdriver to remove the
hex bolts.
