6–6 Selecting Paper and Media
Heavy (thick) printed stock can generate misfeeds
and paper jams, in addition to causing excessive
wear to the print mechanism.
Bond paper exceeding 82 g/m
2
(22 lbs.) must be
placed in and fed from the hopper one sheet at a
time (do not place several sheets in the hopper).
In order to minimize curling, heavy bond paper
must be ejected from the face-down door.
Don’t use paper heavier than 105 g/m
2
. The
acceptable range of media weight for use is 60 to
105 g/m
2
(16 to 28 pounds).
