Gently press down the upper cover and close it
securely.
After closing the upper cover, the printer will
warm up and then resumes printing.
Points to
Check to Avoid
Paper Jams
After clearing the jammed sheets, verify the follow-
ing in order to reduce future paper jams.
Are there any scraps of torn paper remaining in
the location where paper jammed?
Is the paper guide flush against the side of the
paper?
Is paper correctly placed in the hopper?
Is paper inserted in the hopper properly?
Is the paper setting lever pressed down in place?
Does paper meet the specifications?
Is the upper cover securely closed?
Immediately after removing jammed paper, print
outputs may be spotted with toner remaining on the
feeder roller. In this case, print out two to three
pages and verify that the succeeding pages are not
stained.
