2-18 Setup and Operation
Parallel Port Address
The parallel ports may be “Disabled.” When “Disabled” is not selected, you must choose an
address. The parallel port address options are as follows.

Disabled
n
LPT3, 3BCh
n
LPT1, 378h (default)
n
LPT2, 278h
Parallel Port Mode
The Parallel Port Mode field options are as follows.
n
Compatible
−
sets the parallel port to the standard AT compatibility.
n
Bi-directional (default)
−
sets the parallel port to input/output mode only.
n
ECP
−
sets the parallel port to the Enhanced Capabilities Port (ECP) mode.
n
EPP
−
sets the parallel port to the Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP) mode.
Audio Configuration Mode
The Audio Configuration Mode field controls whether the onboard audio resources. The
options are as follows.
n
Auto (default)
−
automatically configures the audio subsystem during power up.
n
Manual
−
allows the user to configured onboard audio subsystem.
n
Disabled
−
removes the onboard audio resources.
Advanced Chipset Configuration
When the cursor is placed in the Advanced Chipset field and you can select it by pressing
Enter. The “Advanced Chipset Submenu” appears allowing parameters which affect the
system performance.

The Advanced Chipset Submenu lets you check or change the following chipset parameters

Base Memory Size
n
ISA LFB Size
n
ISA LFB Base Address
n
Video Palette Snoop
n
Latency Timer (PCI Clocks)
