3-4. Adjustment of luminance (brightness) and energy-saving effect
You can adjust the output of the unit to a range of 50–100% (in increments of 1%) and control the
brightness after adjustment to keep it constant. Also, set the [REF. LIGHT MODE] to [ECO1] or [ECO2]
to reduce the brightness and operating sound. By saving energy consumption, the CO
2
emission
from this projector can be reduced. There are two ways to set the light mode.

REF. LIGHT MODE
The adjustment values of the [REF. LIGHT MODE] and brightness are saved as a setting common
to all input signals.
Valid when the [MODE] (

the menu
Description
BOOST
The picture becomes brighter than the
[NORMAL] mode. However, the operating noise
and power consumption will also increase due
to control of the cooling fan according to the
brightness. The life of the optical components
may also be shortened depending on the
operating environment.
NORMAL
100% brightness
Alternatively, you can adjust the output from
50 to 100% using [REF. LIGHT ADJUST].
ECO1
Brightness will be at about 80%.
The cooling fan will also slow down accord-
ingly.
Lower power consumption
ECO2
Brightness will be at about 50%.
The cooling fan will also slow down accord-
ingly.
Lower power consumption considerably
LIGHT MODE
Adjust the brightness and save it for each input signal.
Valid when the [MODE] (
→
page
) is set to [PROFESSIONAL].
