Memory Configurations
Memory DIMM Configurations
The system board has four 168-pin DIMM sockets for a
total of up to 512MB of system memory, using 128MB
DIMMs. See Figure B-1.
The sockets are arranged in a bank that supports a 64-
bit wide data path with 8 parity bits. Timing requires
60 ns devices. Parity generation/checking is provided
for each byte. Each DIMM socket may have different
sizes of memory installed.
A DIMM socket accommodates a single 168-pin 60 ns
device with gold plated edge connectors as follows:

4M x 72 DIMM = 32MB
■
8M x 72 DIMM = 64MB
16M 72 DIMM = 128MB.
