Chapter 5 Initializing a Disk Array (FC)
Perform the following steps to select the setting type:
1. Select the setting type for initialization.
The sections below explain how to make normal setting.
2. Confirm whether Normal Setting is selected, and then click
Next

Description
Normal Setting
Settings are performed step by step. Select this option in general.
Quick Setting
A RAID6/60 pool, hot spares, and logical disks are automatically bound
at once by using all the unused physical disks. All the logical disks
become available to all application servers.
This setting is available to a configuration that satisfies all the following
conditions:
FC or SAS connection (Direct connection or via switch)
7 or more unused physical disks of the same type, same capacity, and
same rotating speed
Windows, Linux, VMware, or Hyper-V host

Quick Setting cannot be used for the disk arrays of the M300 series or
later.
Quick Setting cannot be used when Access Control is enabled.
Quick Setting cannot be used if unused physical disk are different in
type, capacity or rotation speed.
