7. Orient the component side of the card toward the bottom of the server. When the rear panel of the
card is firmly engaged with the spring, firmly press the card into the slot so that the component parts
of the card securely connect to the slot.
For full-length cards, align the card with the PCI guide at the front of the server, and then connect it to
the slot.
Important If you have trouble installing the card, remove the card once and try again. If
you apply excessive pressure on the card, there is a risk of breaking the
card.
8. Rotate back the PCI card retention latch that you
moved toward the connector side at Step 5.
9. Press the tab of the PCI card retention latch until it is
locked with a clicking sound.
10. Assemble the server.
11. Turn on the server and confirm that no error messages are displayed in POST.
If an error message is displayed, take notes on the message and ask your maintenance service
company for maintenance.
