Upgrading Your System
Memory Modules and DIMMs
CAUTION
To avoid damaging the memory module DIMM sockets, do
not attempt to use the metal stiffener on the memory module
as a handle.
Removing the Memory Module Cover
1.
Observe the safety precautions, warnings, and cautions at the beginning of
this chapter.
2.
Remove the front bezel. See “Removing and Installing the Front Bezel”
earlier in this chapter.
3.
Remove four screws securing the memory module cover. Then remove the
cover using the two finger holes located directly under the “Pull Here”
designations labeled on the cover. See Figure 4-12

Installing the Memory Module Cover
1.
Observe the safety precautions, warnings, and cautions at the beginning of
this chapter.
2.
Position the memory module cover and press inwards until seated.
3.
Secure the cover to the chassis with the screws removed earlier.
4.
Reinstall the front bezel. See “Removing and Installing the Front Bezel”
earlier in this chapter.
