10. Loosen the captive screw retaining the power supply bay, slide the bay forward to free the tabs at
the rear of the bay, and lift the power supply bay out of the chassis.
11. Position the replacement power supply bay in the chassis so that the chassis tab slips into the slot
in the bottom of the bay to the rear of the captive screw.
12. Slide the bay to the rear and engage the two tabs on the bottom rear of the bay with the slots in
the chassis floor.
13. Tighten the captive screw that retains the bay.
14. Route the AC power cable, being sure to place it in all the chassis retention clips.
15. Install the electronics bay into the main chassis.
16. Install the front chassis bracket:
a. Align the tabs in the center of the underside of the bracket with slots in the top of the
peripheral bay and lower the bracket onto the chassis.
b. Slide the bracket toward the rear of the chassis until its front is flush with the chassis front.
c. Connect the cables to the front panel board.
d. Install the four screws attaching the bracket to the chassis.
17. At the baseboard, connect the power cables that go to the power supply bay.
18. Place all power and data cables back in the fan bay, being careful to route them as they were
originally.
19. Connect all power and data cables to the hot-swap drive bay and the peripheral bay devices.
20. Install the fan assembly.
21. Install all power supply modules.
22. Install the front access cover, the rear access cover, and the bezel.
23. Plug in the AC power and turn on power to the server.
24. Observe the power and standby LEDs and confirm that the power supply system is functioning
properly.
