<When starting Recovery Console from Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM>
(a) Insert the Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM into the drive.
(b) When the CD is set, reset the system (press
Ctrl
+
Alt
+
Delete
) or press the
power switch to power off and on to reboot the NEC Express5800/ft series.
(c) When the following message appears, press any key to start up from the
CD-ROM.
IMPORTANT:
Press any key while the message is displayed.
Otherwise the system will be started up from a hard disk and Recovery
Console will not be started.
(d) When the following message appears on the screen, press
F5
+
F6
quickly.
IMPORTANT:
Unless
F5
+
F6
keys are pressed, Recovery Console
does not start up. If the screen for selecting HAL as described in 3 does
not appear, reboot the system and start again from activation of Windows
Server 2003 CD-ROM.
3. When you see the screen for selecting HAL, follow the steps below.
(a) Select “Other” (default) and press
Enter
