DS1000/2000 Quick Setup Guide
Programming
There are 3 steps to setting up a Door Box in DS1000:

Part I: Assign the Door Box chime tone.
The Door Box alerts the extensions in the Door Box Ring Group (assigned in Part II) using the
chime type you select.

Part II: Set up the Door Box Ring Group.
To have Door Box chimes alert extensions, the extensions have to be in the same Ring Group as
the Door Box.
●
Part III: Program analog Door Box relay control.
After answering a Door Box chime, the extension user has the option of pressing a key to acti-
vate the system’s relays.
Part I: Assign the Door Box Chime Tone
The circuit type is automatically set for DS1000 Analog Door Boxes plugged into DOOR1 or
DOOR2 (extensions 324 and 325).

Enter the chime type (0-3) that the Door Box should use to alert the extensions in its Ring Group +

0 = Normal Ring Group (Intercom) ringing
1 = Low pitch chime pattern
2 = Mid range pitch chime pattern
3 = High pitch chime pattern

to go back to step 3 and select another Door Box to program.

Part II: Set Up the Door Box Ring Group
To add the Door Box and other extensions into the Door Box Ring Group:
