Removing Jammed Paper
9-11
5. Open the paper cassettes and remove any
jammed or partially fed paper.
6. If paper was fed from the Multi-purpose tray,
remove all of the paper from the Multi-
purpose tray, including any jammed or
partially fed paper.
7. Reload the Multi-purpose tray.
8. Close the cassette and resume printing.
Note: If a small torn piece of paper has
become trapped and cannot be removed
as described in the above procedures, try
the following steps:
1. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close
the printer’s top cover. Push the Multi-
purpose tray all the way into the printer.
2. Turn the printer Off and On. The rollers
inside the printer move slightly as the
printer restarts and may loosen the small
piece of paper.
3. Repeat the second step several times
until the small piece of paper can be
removed by hand.
