5. A message is displayed indicating power must be removed before continuing. Press
[3]
to perform a 20 second AC power removal (automatically executes in 2 minutes if
no keys are pressed).
6. Remove the USB device before the system boots.
Option 5 - Update of BIOS only - Always prompts for Serial/Model/Class
This option prompts for Class/Model/Serial information at the beginning of the program
and then updates the BIOS only.
1. Highlight Option 5 and press
[ENTER]

2. At the prompt press
[ENTER]
to enter the Class/Model/Serial Number information
(DMI). Follow the onscreen format instructions.

3. Press
[1]
to confirm the data and to continue.
4. The Flash Program updates the SPI/BIOS and automatically reboots the terminal.
Option 6 - Update SPI and BIOS - Default Serial/Model/Class information
This option is for Service Personnel only. It updates the SPI and BIOS but leaves the
Class/Model/Serial fields empty (erased). The DMI information is then entered when the
board is installed in a terminal.
1. Highlight Option 6 and press
[ENTER]
.
2. The SPI and BIOS are updated and the system reboots (2 times).
3. Remove the USB device before the system boots.
4. System is ready for operation.
