Repair Procedures
Replacing the Heater
The Warmette has three heaters on each side. If the Warmette does not heat,
determine if the heater has failed (e.g. check the current to the unit. If it is much less
than 14A (120V~) or 8A (220V~) and all connections appear functional, a failed
heater is suspect. Remove the heaters and check with an ohm meter; replace the
heater if necessary.
Required Items:
1/4-in. nutdriver
To remove the heater:

Press the power switch to the
OFF
(O) position, then unplug the power cord.

Loosen — but do not remove — the screws inside the door, behind the door stop

Pull out and remove the front panel (see

Unhook and remove the plenum hold-down spring and bridge (see Figure 6.5

Separate the plenum from the casing.

Lift the plenum, then unscrew the heater from its socket.

Remove the old heater from the Warmette.
To place the new heater:

Place the new heater into the Warmette, then securely tighten the screws.

Reinstall the plenum. Ensure that the plenum and case are seated firmly. Install
the plenum hold-down spring and bridge.

Reinstall the front panel and tighten the screws.

Test the Warmette for proper operation (see page 2-5).
