Note

nifStartupCM

reads the NI-FBUS installation information from the registry to

find the path of the NI-FBUS Communications Manager. If the specific NI-FBUS system
registry information cannot be found or is corrupt, this function will return an error code.

Return Values

E_OK

The NI-FBUS Communications Manager has launched
successfully.

E_FILE_NOT_FOUND

The NI-FBUS Communications Manager binary cannot be found
or is corrupt.

E_REGKEY_NOT_FOUND

The NI-FBUS system registry information cannot be found or is
corrupt.

E_TIMEOUT

The NI-FBUS Communications Manager has started but the
initialization procedure has not completed within the timeout
period.

E_SERVER_CONNECTION_LOST

The NI-FBUS Communications Manager has encountered an
error during initialization.
