Overspeed test with the engine
at standstill
Note:
Overspeed test with the engine at standstill
can only be carried out if the engine is equip-
ped with engine monitoring unit.
1.
Press OVERSPEED TEST illuminated pushbut-
ton (3). Observe speed limit and speed simu-
lated by engine monitoring unit on display.
Result:
• Engine control system is disconnected
from power supply by the safety system.
• Engine control is deactivated.
• Engines with emergency air-shut-off flaps:
Flaps close;
• EMERGENCY STOP illuminated pushbutton
(2) flashes; Alarms (horn, flashing light
etc.) are triggered. ALARM ACKNOWLEDG-
MENT illuminated pushbutton (1) is illumi-
nated brightly.

Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGMENT button
(1).
Result:
Audible and visual alarm stops.
3.
Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGMENT button (1)
again.
Result:
Power supply to engine control system is re-
connected.
4.
Engines with emergency air-shut-off flaps:
Flaps open.
Emergency stop simulation with
the engine at standstill
1.
Open cover flap of EMERGENCY STOP illumi-
nated pushbutton (2).
2.
Press EMERGENCY STOP illuminated push-
button (2).
Result:
• Engine control system is disconnected
from the power supply by the safety sys-
tem.
• Engine control is deactivated.
• Engines with emergency air-shut-off flaps:
Flaps close;
• EMERGENCY STOP illuminated pushbutton
(2) flashes; Alarms (horn, flashing lamp
etc.) are triggered. ALARM ACKNOWLEDG-
MENT button (1) is illuminated brightly.
3.
Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGMENT button
(1).
Result:
Audible and visual alarm stops.
4.
Press ALARM ACKNOWLEDGMENT button (1)
again.
Result:
Power supply to engine control system is re-
connected.
5.
Engines with emergency air-shut-off flaps:
Flaps open.
