7.9.2 Fuel prefilter – Differential pressure check and adjustment of gauge
DANGER
Components are moving or rotating.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Operate the engine at low load only. Keep clear of the danger zone of the engine.
WARNING
High level of engine noise when the engine is running.
Risk of damage to hearing!
• Wear ear protectors.
Differential pressure gauge ad-
justment
1.
When installing the new filter element: align
adjustable pointer (2) with pressure-indicat-
ing pointer (3) of pressure gauge (1).
2.
Verify that differential pressure is within the
limit.
Fuel prefilter – Differential pressure check
1.
With the engine running at full load or rated power, read off pressure at gauge (1).
2.
If differential pressure as indicated between position of adjustable pointer (2) and pressure-indicating pointer
(3) of pressure gauge is ≥ 0.3 bar, flush filter element of the cut-in filter (→ Page 179).
Setting differential pressure
gauge with single-stage filter
1.
After installation of a new filter element, align
adjustable pointer (2) with pressure-indicat-
ing pointer (3) of pressure gauge (1).
2.
Verify that differential pressure is within the
limit.
