4.7 Emergency engine stop from LOP
NOTICE
An emergency stop subjects the engine system to an extremely high load.
Risk of overheating, damage to components!
• Trigger an emergency stop only in emergency situations.

Open cap covering illuminated EMERGENCY STOP pushbutton (→ Page 110).
LOP
Press illuminated EMERGENCY STOP pushbutton.
• Engine is stopped by switching off power supply to ECU;
• Engine control is deactivated;
• Engines with emergency air-shutoff flaps: Flaps close;
• Illuminated EMERGENCY STOP pushbutton flashes. Alarm signaling by
horn, flashing lamp etc. is tripped.
After emergency engine stop from LOP

Press illuminated ALARM ACKNOWLEDGE pushbutton (→ Page 110).
• Audible and visual signaling stops.
LOP
Press illuminated ALARM ACKNOWLEDGE pushbutton again.
• Power supply to ECU is provided again;
• Alarm is acknowledged.
Engine
Engines with emergency air-shutoff flaps: Flaps open.
• Engine is ready for operation.
