Troubleshooting
The Top 3 Reasons How Problems Can Occur & Troubleshooting Hints
Over 90% of all reported problems setting up and operating Mozaex media servers
are caused by the following 3 reasons. With over 7,000 Mozaex units installed in
over 25 countries we are confident that once configured correctly the system will
work to your full satisfaction.

1.
The
System is Not Setup Correctly
. A vast majority of issues in the field are
due to the system simply not being correctly configured or is incompatible with
the TV, audio system or a device on the network such as the router.
2.
Improper A/V and Network Settings and/or Conflicts
- A frequent problem
is that the wrong switch or some other A/V or network incompatibility/conflict is
causing NetPlay or other internet related performance issues.
3.
Hardware Defects/Damage
. While Mozaex boasts a superior low annual
defect rate that is less than half the competitions reported in-field failures,
defects and in-transit product damage can occur. Contact Mozaex immediately to
arrange to have the product serviced and/or advanced replaced. Most units that
need to be repaired in the field may be inadvertantly caused by miss-use or by
extreme environmental or network conditions (power surges, viruses etc.).
4.
System incompatibilities
. System incompatibilities may occur with:
1.) Incompatible co-existing network device that is conflicting with the system
2.) Incompatible Audio and Video equipment (ie: antiquated HDMI).
3.) Incompatible Blu-ray title that may require a Movie Player update.

Blu-ray Title Incompatibilities
- Note that ALL Blu-ray disc players (not just the
ShowStar) require periodic updates to support some new Blu-ray titles. These
updates are typically required a few times a year and can be performed by the User
using the Mozaex EasyUp or by the Dealer or Mozaex using the EasyUp, FlashLoader
or the SurePlay remote login utility. Contact Mozaex if you need assistance.
Updating Software
- The
EasyUp
and
FlashLoader
utilities allows you to perform
simple updating of Mozaex and 3
rd
party software. Refer to this Guide for more
information.
