From the Mail menu,
select “Chat mail”
The Chat Mail Member List is displayed.

To enter the addresses of chat mail members, select other fields than “Myself”.
If chat mail members are stored already,
the Chat Mail display appears.

The operations for storing chat mail members are described below.
Up to nine chat mail members including yourself can be stored.

For entering an address directly,

, enter the address, and press .
You can enter up to 50 bytes (50 half-pitch characters).

In the Chat Mail Member List, the first 14 bytes (7 full-pitch characters/14 half-pitch
characters) are displayed.
You can exchange mail feeling as if talking with several persons.
You can confirm the chat mail exchange (outgoing/incoming mail) on a single display.
For exchanging chat mail, you need to store chat mail members beforehand or to store (or add)
them when you receive chat mail.

If you set “Optional recep” to “ON”, you cannot join in chat mail.

Chat mail does not start up when either sent or received mail cannot be overwritten; delete unnecessary messages
from the Outbox/Inbox List, and then start up chat mail.

A notice message appears when the number of overwritable mail items either in the Outbox or Inbox List is 20 or less.
P
You cannot send or receive chat mail unless the target phones support chat mail.
P
When you send chat mail to several different recipients, the transmission charge is the same rate as for sending each mail
separately.
