Recycling as an alternative to back acceptance: 

 

The electrical appliance owner is obliged to provide the ne-
cessary cooperation when the used appliance is recycled, 
as an alternative to back acceptance. A used appliance 
can also be delivered to a collecting organisation for liqui-
dation in accordance with the national waste recycling law. 
This does not apply to used appliance accessories or au-
xiliary parts if they do not contain electrical components.

Machine Purpose of Use

•  

This wood splitter is solely intended for this operation.

•  

The wood splitter can only split fl at (at right angles) 
cut logs.

•  

Foreign objects (nails, wire, concrete, etc.) must al-
ways be removed from the wood to be split.

•  

Any other use of the machine is considered misuse 
and the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for 
any damage resulting from such use. In this case, the 
operator bears full responsibility for all the risks.

•  

This chapter also applies to the manufacturer‘s in-
structions for maintenance, care, repairs and clea-
ning of the machine as well as observance of all the 
safety instructions.

•  

Any other use of the machine is outside the range of 
its intended use and the user shall bear full responsi-
bility for all the hazards resulting from such use.

•  

Wilful modifi cations or changes to the machine shall 
relieve the manufacturer of its responsibility for any 
damage whatsoever.

•  

The wood splitter can only be operated by persons 
who have been acquainted with these instructions 
and informed of any possible hazards. Any repairs 
of the wood splitter can only be performed by the 
manufacturer or an authorised service centre.

Residual Hazards

Even if the machine is used in accordance with all the 
safety instructions, it is still necessary to take into 

account some residual hazards that exist due to the nature 
of the machine‘s design and use. These residual hazards 
can only be minimised if you carefully read and respect the 
Safety Instructions, Operating Instructions and Machine 
Purpose of Use section. Be careful when working with the 

machine to minimise the risk of injury or other damage.
•  

If the safety instructions and precautions are ignored 
or neglected, this can result in injury to the operator 
or other persons, or damage to property.

•  

Carelessness, not observing the safety regulati-
ons and misuse can result in hand or fi nger  injuries 
caused by the moving splitting wedge.

•  

Using unsuitable electrical cables or connection to 
the power supply can cause electric shock.

•  

Do not touch the live electrical components when 
their covers are open.

In spite of all the presented warnings, some hidden ha-
zards can still exist.

Safety at Work

Before putting it into operation, read and ob-
serve all the instructions included in this ma-

nual as well as all the regulations applicable to this 
type of machine in your country. By doing so, you will 
protect yourself and others from possible injury.

 All the safety instructions must be available to any 
person working with this machine.

 

Store this manual, including the safety instructions, in 
a safe place.

Be cautious. Be careful about what you are doing. Be 
conscientious when working.

The machine must not be used by:

appliance by a person responsible for their safety;

persons under the influence of medicaments or other 
substances, reducing their ability to quickly respond.

Secure the machine so that unattended children cannot 
reach it. Momentary carelessness when using the ma-
chine can result in serious injury.

Use this manual to make yourself familiar with the 
machine before putting it into operation.

Do not use the machine for purposes other than tho-
se described in this manual.

Choose a safe work area.

•  

Assume the proper working posture at the operating 
handles.

•  

Never step on the machine.

•  

Wear protective goggles or face mask, ear protec-
tors, protective gloves, and safety steel toe cap 
shoes when working with the machine. Do not wear 
loose clothes or jewellery, which could be caught by 
the moving parts of the machine.

•  

During work, the operator of the machine is responsi-
ble for other persons.

•  

Children and young persons under 18 years are not 
allowed to operate the machine.

•  

Always keep children away from the machine work area.

•  

Never leave the machine when other persons are nearby.
