Level III Service Manual          Disassembly

Removing and Replacing the Front Cover (Convertible Cover)

1.

Remove the battery cover and battery as described in the procedures.

2.

Using the flat end of the disassembly tool in the indentation on the bottom of 
the phone, carefully separate the front cover from the rear housing. See 
Figure 7.

3.

Lift the front cover upward and slide as shown to release its top edge from the 
rear housing. Lift the front cover completely off the phone.

4.

To replace, hook the top of the front cover onto the rear housing and press on 
the front cover’s bottom edge until it snaps into place.

5.

Replace the battery and battery cover as described in the procedures.
