Level III Service Manual General Operation
Display animation makes the phone’s icon menu move smoothly as the user scrolls
up and down.
Figure 2 shows some common icons displayed on the LCD.
1.
Signal Strength
shows the strength of the phone’s connection with the
network. Calls cannot be sent or received when the “no signal” indicator is
displayed.
2.
Ringer
indicates whether the phone’s ringer is enabled or disabled.
3.
Vibrate
shows whether the phone’s vibrator alert is enabled or disabled.
4.
Roam
icon appears when the phone uses another network system outside the
user’s home network. When leaving the home network area, the phone roams,
or seeks, another network.
5.
Message

indicator appears when the phone receives a text message.
6.
Battery Charge Indicator
shows the amount of charge left in the battery.
7.
Alarm
indicates whether the phone’s alarm is on or off.
8.
Real Time Clock
shows the current time.
9.
Service

icon shows phone is currently functioning in either GPRS mode or
in CSD mode.
10.
Home Zone
icon is on when the phone is registered in the user’s home area.
11.
Voicemail
4
icon indicates a voicemail message has been received.

to which the user subscribes.
