2.1.4.2.3 Changing the Administrator Password
Procedure Steps

Log on as an Administrator.
If you are prompted for upgrades, select
No, not now
.
Step result:
The KVL main screen appears.

Select
Settings → Security → Passwords → Update passwordsAdministrator
.
Step result:
The
Current password
,
New password
, and
Repeat password
entry fields.

In the
Current password
entry field, type the current password using the PDA keypad.

In the
New password
entry field, type the new password.
The password must contain between 15 and 30 characters, including at least 1 special character, 1
numeric character, and 1 uppercase character. The following special characters are acceptable: ! " # $
% & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~
As you type the password, dynamic hints about password rules appear.

In the
Repeat password
entry field, type the new password again.
Step result:
If the passwords match, the
Done
button is enabled.
To abort the operation at any time, tap
Cancel
.

Done
.
Step result:
The password has been changed.

Done
on the consecutive screens to return to the KVL main screen.
If you forget the Administrator password, you must perform a system reset before the KVL can be used
again. Since a system reset erases all stored keys and returns the KVL settings to the factory defaults,
you must enter all keys again.
