Maintaining the EWP

For trouble-free service, observe the following
tips when using the EWP:

• Protect the EWP from temperature extremes.

Do not leave it on the dashboard of a car on a
hot day, and keep it away from heat sources.

• Do not store the EWP in any location that is

dusty, damp or wet.

• Use a soft lens cloth to clean the EWP. If the

surface of the EWP screen becomes soiled,
clean it with a soft cloth moistened with a diluted
window-cleaning solution.

• The EWP3100 has antimicrobial surface

protection that can be cleaned using soft lint
cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

• Periodically replace the rechargeable battery to

ensure maximum battery life and product
performance. Battery life depends on individual
usage patterns.

• Do not scratch the camera lens. Clean the

window periodically. Dust, contamination, and
scratches on the camera window can cause
visible blemishes in the images captured with
the Imager or impair bar code capture.
