Plug the cable into a powered USB port or
hub, since some USB devices (such as
keyboards) might not supply enough power
for charging.
Note: Charging the EWP with a USB cable requires
more time than using a Wall Charger.
Important: When using a USB cable to charge or work
with the EWP, make sure using Motorola approved mini
USB cable.

Modifying the EWP display time out and
backlight conserves battery life.
To set how long your EWP waits before the
display turns off, perform the following:
1 Press: Start > All Programs > Settings >
Power Management > Display time out and
set the time out. When the time is out, the display
turns off.
To set how long your EWP waits before the
backlight turns off, perform the following:
2 Press: Start > All Programs > Settings >
Power Management > Backlight time out on
battery or Smart Backlight and set the time out.
When the backlight is off, the display is visible but
dim.
Note: Close unused programs, from the home
screen, press: Start > All Programs >
