Connecting to an IBM 468X/469X Host

Connect the digital scanner directly to the host interface.

Attach the modular connector of the IBM 46XX interface cable to the cable interface port on the digital 
scanner. See 

Installing the Interface Cable on page 1-3

.

Connect the other end of the IBM 46XX interface cable to the appropriate port on the host (typically Port 9).

Select the port address by scanning the appropriate bar code from 

Port Address on page 7-4

.

To modify any other parameter options, scan the appropriate bar codes in this chapter.
