SIM Card / Battery
SIM card is a smart card provided by the mobile communications service provider. It stores the
phone number supplied to you by the service provider and other service details. Your handset is
connected to the network via the SIM card, enabling it to have the various communications
functions. The SIM card also allows you to store important phone numbers and other
information. In fact, you can use your SIM card on any GSM handset and you will be charged for
the call.

You will not be able to make or receive calls or send messages if you do not
have a SIM card inserted into your phone. Some networks allow you to make
emergency calls without a SIM card inserted.

Like a bank or credit card, you should keep your SIM card secure. Do not bend
or scratch your card and avoid exposure to static electricity or water.

Switch off your phone before inserting or removing the SIM card. Failure to do
so may damage the memory of your SIM card.
Follow the steps below while changing the battery or inserting the SIM card (for first time use,
you can skip the step on battery removal).

Press the release catch on the battery compartment and lift off the cover by sliding off
the bottom of the phone

Push the battery towards the bottom of the phone and lift the battery out from the
bottom end.

Slide the SIM cover and lift up the cover.

Place the SIM card into the recess in the base of the phone, making sure that the corner
of the SIM card fits the recess corner.

Replace the SIM cover, then press and slide it to lock it in place.

Align the connections on the battery with the connections on the phone. Press the
battery towards the connections and push it downwards

Slide back the cover until it clicks into place.

After inserting the SIM card, turn on the phone. If the SIM card is inserted in the
wrong way round, damaged or there is no SIM, Check Card message may be shown
