Data Synchronization with PC
Synchronization Software
Through the
TrueSync
software, Motorola
A6188
can send and receive communications log,
appointments and email between itself and a PC (personal computer). This ensures that data on
both sides is updated at all time.
Communications link between the PC and the Motorola
A6188
can either be through a cable or
by infrared connection.
Before using
PC Sync
, the
TrueSync
software must first be install on the PC. The software is in the
accompanying CD-Rom.

TrueSync
can only be install on Windows 95/98.
Installation

Power on the PC.

Put the
TrueSync
CD-ROM into the CD-Rom drive.

Press
Start
and select
Run
.

Type
X:\Setup
(X is the drive name).

Press
OK
to run the setup.

Follow the installation instruction to install the software.
Performing Data Synchronization
If a cable is used for the connection between the PC and the phone, please plug in the cable
before the PC is power on.

Run the
TrueSync
software.

In the Main Menu, press
icon to enter the PC
Synchronize
display
or press on
System Setting
and then press on
PC Sync
to enter the display.???

If cable is used, Press
Data Cable
.
If infrared connection is used, point the Motorola
A6188
infrared interface at the PC’s infrared
receiver. Press on
InfraRed Link
and
Connecting…
will appear. If
Cancel
is pressed at this
stage, the display will return to the PC Synchronize display.

If the connection is successful, the
Begin PC Sync?
dialogue box will appear.
Press on
Cancel
to return to the PC Sync display.
Press on
OK
to begin the process of synchronization.
If the infrared connection is broken for some reason or if the PC system hangs and
synchronization is incomplete, it will return to the PC Synchronize display.
