Use of Battery
Using a new battery
(1) Adding battery solution
—
Check the battery casing visually for cracks and scratches and the terminals for
deformation and dislocation.
—
Place the battery on a level surface, tear off the sealing tape and insert a funnel into
the filler opening.
—
Take out the battery solution supplied along with the battery and remove the
stoppers from the bottle. Pour the battery solution into the battery.
—
After all the battery solution is poured in, slowly remove the battery solution bottle.
—
Align the six stoppers each with the battery solution filer holes and push them into
the holes until the stoppers are flush with the top surface of the battery. Clean the
battery surface of battery solution with a wet cloth and dry it with a cloth.
— Put aside the replenished battery for 30 minutes before installation.
(2) Installation
—
Wire the positive (+) terminal (marked in red) before wiring the negative (-)
terminal, making sure not to reverse the connection.
Use and maintenance
(1) Each starting attempt should not be longer than 5 seconds. If the engine cannot be
started after a few attempts, check the fuel supply system and the starting and ignition
systems for trouble.
(2) The following situations may cause over-discharging or under-charging of the
battery and shorten the battery life:
—
Frequent starting and short distance of travel.
—
Running the vehicle at low speeds for a long time.
—
Using additional electric parts or high-power bulbs.
(3) Recharge the battery when the engine is difficult to start or the lights are dim and
once every three months.
(4) Recharge the battery before putting the vehicle back to use after a long period of
the road.
Charging
Charge the battery with a 12V battery charger. Do not remove the sealing cap when the
battery is being recharged. Keep the room well ventilated and keep away from fire.
The battery can be charged in the standard mode or quick mode. To make the battery
durable, use the standard charging mode as much as possible except in an emergency.
Always charge the battery at the specified amperage and time limit and do not increase
them otherwise the battery may be damaged.
