IMPORTANT NOTE.
If the paper is marking or scratching set ‘F_cLr’ to ‘on’, as described below.
This function is used to withdraw the top fold blade from the nip position, when paper
is in the fold roller. This reduces the possibility of marking or scratching sensitive
paper. On certain folds, gate types for instance, ‘F_cLr’ should be set to ‘off’ because
the trailing edge of the paper will catch on the withdrawn blade.
If F_cLr’ has been set to ‘on’, any subsequent change to the programme settings will
automatically return ‘F_cLr’ back to its default setting of ‘off’; and it must therefore be
et back to ‘on’ again.
1. Select the main display screen (see pages 11 and 13 to identify main display).
2. Set the Set Up switch to its Mid-position.
3. Turn the Setting Dial clockwise until the display reads ‘F_cLr’.
4. Flick the Set Up switch upwards to select ‘on’.
If the rollers are marking the media, open the roller gap (see page 21).
If the suction drum is not rotating, check all of the drive belts for cleanliness and splits
(including the bottom in-feed roller drive belt).

If at any time during the creasing / folding process the display window reads
, it is
indicating that the lower blade / anvil has not made contact with the HOME switch.
i.e. Blade still in top position. Switch the machine off and remove the blade set,
ensure that the area is free from obstructions. Return the blade set to the creasing
unit and switch the machine on. Operate the machine in the normal sequence, if the
letter
continues to appear it is advised to contact a Service Engineer immediately.
