2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien der
EU und ist deshalb mit
gekennzeichnet.
Beachten Sie unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
G
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Innenräumen
geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritz-
wasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hit ze (zulässi-
ger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
G
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
G
Die im Gerät entstehende Wärme muss durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Decken Sie
die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht ab.
G
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und ziehen
Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose:
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder am
Netzkabel vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der
Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.
G
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
G
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht re pa riert, kann keine Garantie für das Gerät
und keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach-
oder Personenschäden übernommen werden.
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Zubehör
Der Verstärker ist speziell für den Einsatz in 100-V-
ELA-Anlagen konzipiert. Es stehen 100-V-Aus
-
gänge für sechs Beschallungszonen zur Verfügung,
deren Lautstärke sich individuell einstellen lässt.
Über drei Eingänge mit unterschiedlich einstellbarer
Priorität können Mikrofone oder Geräte mit Line-
Ausgang angeschlossen werden. Zwei weitere Line-
Eingänge ergänzen die Anschlussmöglichkeiten.
Zubehör
In den Erweiterungsschacht (1) lässt sich z. B. eines
der folgenden Einschubmodule von MONACOR ein-
setzen:
PA-1120DMT Digital-Message-Speicher mit
Schaltuhr
PA-1140RCD Radio / CD-Spieler
PA-1200C Schaltuhr
PA-1200RDS AM / FM-Radio
Folgende ELA-Tischmikrofone von MONACOR sind
speziell für diesen Verstärker als separates Zu behör
konzipiert:
PA-4000PTT: Ein Tischmikrofon lässt sich an die
Buchse PA-4000PTT (46) anschließen.
PA-4300PTT: Ein Tischmikrofon lässt sich an die
Buchse PA-4300PTT (45) anschließen. Insgesamt
können drei PA-4300PTT mit dem Verstärker betrie-
ben werden.
PA-6000RC (Abb. 3): Kommandomikrofon mit Tas-
ten zum Anwählen der einzelnen Beschallungszo-
nen; dem Mikrofon liegt ein Anschluss
modul bei,
das in den Verstärker eingesetzt wird
Der Verstärker kann mit folgenden Zusatzmodulen
von MONACOR erweitert werden:
PA-6FD Fehlerüberwachungsmodul
PA-6FM Fehlermeldemodul
PA-6FR Antirückkopplungsmodul für den Eingang 1

Falls eine Notstromeinheit angeschlossen ist, diese
von den Anschlüssen 24 V
(37) trennen, damit der
Verstärker außer Betrieb ist.
4.1 Anschlussmodul für PA-6000RC
Zum Anschluss des als Zubehör lieferbaren Kom-
mandomikrofons PA-6000RC (Abb. 3) muss das
dem Mikrofon beiliegende Anschlussmodul in den
Verstärker eingebaut werden.
4.1.1 Einbau und Anschluss
1) Den Gehäusedeckel des Verstärkers und die
Blende (33) auf der Verstärkerrückseite ab -
schrauben.
2) Die 3-polige Leitung AS 903 des Anschluss mo-
duls in die Buchse CN 903 des Verstärkers ste-
cken – siehe Lageplan Seite 48.
WARNUNG Der Einbau von Zusatzmodulen darf
nur durch Fachpersonal erfolgen. Vor
dem Öffnen des Verstärkers den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose zie-
hen, anderenfalls besteht die Gefahr
eines elektrischen Schlages!
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtli-
chen Recycling betrieb.
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefähr -
licher Netzspannung (230 V~) ver-
sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb niemals
selbst Eingriffe am Gerät vor und ste -
cken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungs -
öffnungen! Es besteht die Gefahr
eines elektrischen Schlages.
Im Betrieb liegt an den Lautsprecheranschlüssen
(23, 25) berührungsgefährliche Spannung bis 100 V
an. Den Verstärker nie ohne die Schutzabdeckung
(22) betreiben.
Alle Anschlüsse nur bei ausgeschalteter ELA-
Anlage vornehmen bzw. verändern.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with

It is essential to observe the following items:
G
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g.
drinking glasses, on the unit.
G
The heat being generated in the unit must be car-
ried off by air circulation. Therefore, the air vents
at the housing must not be covered.
G
Do not set the unit into operation, or immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket
if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no
means chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material dam-
age will be accepted if the unit is used for other
purposes than originally intended, if it is not cor-
rectly connected, operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.
3 Applications and Accessories
The amplifier is especially designed for the applica-
tion in 100 V PA systems. 100 V outputs for six PA
zones are available, the volume of which can be
adjusted individually. Via three inputs with differently
adjustable priority, microphones or units with line
output may be connected. Two further line inputs
complete the connecting possibilities.
Accessories
One of the following insertion modules from
MONACOR can e. g. be installed into the extension
compartment (1):
PA-1120DMT digital message memory with timer
PA-1140RCD radio / CD player
PA-1200C timer
PA-1200RDS AM / FM radio
The following PA desk microphones from
MONACOR are especially designed for this ampli-
fier as a separate accessory:
PA-4000PTT: A desk microphone may be connected
to the jack PA-4000PTT (46).
PA-4300PTT: A desk microphone may be connected
to the jack PA-4300PTT (45). A maximum of three
microphones PA-4300PTT may be operated with the
amplifier.
PA-6000RC (fig. 3): Zone paging microphone with
buttons for selecting the individual PA zones; the
microphone is supplied with a connection module
which is inserted into the amplifier
The amplifier can be extended with the following
additional modules from MONACOR:
PA-6FD fault detecting module
PA-6FM fault monitoring module
PA-6FR anti-feedback module for the input 1
4 Installation of Additional Modules
If an emergency power supply unit is connected, dis-
connect it from the connections 24 V
(37) so that
the amplifier will be out of operation.
4.1 Connection module for PA-6000RC
For the connection of the zone paging microphone
PA-6000RC (fig. 3) available as an accessory, the
connection module supplied with the microphone
must be installed into the amplifier.
4.1.1 Installation and connection
1) Screw off the housing cover of the amplifier and
the cover (33) on the rear panel of the amplifier.
2) Connect the 3-pole line AS 903 of the connection
module to the jack CN 903 of the amplifier – see
layout plan page 48.
WARNING Additional modules must only be
installed by specialized personnel.
Prior to opening the amplifier dis-
connect the mains plug from the
socket, otherwise there is the hazard
of an electric shock!
If the unit is to be put out of operation de fin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
WARNING The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave ser-
vicing to skilled personnel only and
do not insert anything through the
vents! Inexpert handling or modifica-
tion of the unit may cause an electric
shock hazard.
During operation there is a hazard of contact at the
speaker connections (23, 25) with a voltage of up
to 100 V. Never use the amplifier without protective
cover (22).
Make or change all connections only with the PA
system switched off.
