When the Alarm Sounds
When the alarm sounds you should have the detector and motorhome checked by
an authorized service technician as soon
as possible. Never disconnect a CO
detector to silence a nuisance alarm.
Evacuate motorhome immediately when
RED light is lit and alarm sounds. Do a
head count to check that all persons are
accounted for. Call the nearest fire
department and ask them to determine
the source of carbon monoxide. Do not
re-enter motorhome until it has been
aired out and the problem is corrected.
Testing Your Carbon Monoxide
Detector
Test the carbon monoxide detector operation after the motorhome has been in stor-
age, before each trip, and at least once a week during use. You can test the alarm by
holding the test button in until the alarm sounds. The alarm will stop beeping in about
30 seconds.
Cleaning Your Detector
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and any other build-up on the detector. Do
not wash. Wipe the detector with a damp cloth and dry it with a towel. Do not open the
detector for cleaning. Do not paint the detector. We recommend replacing your carbon
monoxide detector every 10 years.
Fire Extinguisher
The fire extinguisher in your motorhome is
located near the main entrance door. Please read
the operating instructions that are printed on the
fire extinguisher. If there is any doubt on the oper-
ation of the fire extinguisher, you and your family
should practice using it then replace or recharge it.
Inspect the fire extinguisher at least once a month;
more frequently if it is exposed to weather or possi-
ble tampering. Check gauge for extinguisher level.
Partially discharging will cause a loss of pressure.
