Workhorse Chassis Maintenance Schedule
Long Trip/Highway Scheduled Maintenance
Every 7,500 Miles - Change engine oil and filter. Lubricate chassis components . Check
axle fluid level and add fluid as needed. Rotate tires.
Every 15,000 Miles - Inspect shields and underhood insulation for damage or looseness.
Adjust or replace as needed.
Every 30,000 Miles - Clean and repack the front wheel bearings (or at each brake relin-
ing, whichever occurs first). Replace fuel filter. Replace air cleaner filter.
Every 50,000 Miles - Change automatic transmission fluid and filter.
Every 60,000 Miles - Inspect engine accessory drive belt. Inspect fuel tank, cap and
lines for damage or leaks. Inspect fuel cap gasket for any damage. Replace parts as
needed. Inspect Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system. Inspect Evaporative Control
System. Check all fuel and vapor lines and hoses for proper hook-up, routing and con-
dition. Check that the purge valve works properly, if equipped. Replace as needed.
Every 100,000 Miles - Inspect spark plug wires. Replace spark plugs. Inspect Positive
Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve.
Every 150,000 Miles - Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Inspect hoses. Clean radi-
ator, condenser, pressure cap and neck. Pressure test the cooling system and pressure
cap.
