Take out the pop-up motor relay from the engine
compartment
relay box.
Check for continuity between terminals under the conditions’
described below.
Continuity no voltage
Continuity with voltage
NOTE
O-O indicates that there is continuity between the
indicates terminals to which battery voltage is applied.

Remove the dome light relay.
Connect the battery and the test light to the dome light relay
as shown in the figure.
Check that the test light comes on when connected as
shown
by the solid line. Then check that the test light dims
out for approx. 6 seconds when the
terminal is
disconnected. Moreover, check that the test light goes out
instantaneously when the
terminal is connected at this
time (while the test light is dimming).
