The Menu/Ident key

This key gives access to the functions offered by the operating system. They differ accord-
ing to the terminal status.

• Terminal idle: see the summary in “Menu options”, page 61.
• Terminal busy: whether the terminal is busy, waiting for an answer or the correspondent 

is already on line, pressing the Menu key displays the available functions. 

Note: 

if the Menu key is not proposed, some functions may be deployed in a different 

manner, using feature codes. These functions are then described in two ways, via the 
Menu/Ident key and feature code.
