Joystick Safety
➢
When traveling at a faster speed, please do not make any sharp turns or quick stops. Failure
to follow these instructions may cause the wheelchair to tilt and damage or injure the user.
➢
The joystick is designed to control the direction and operation of your chair smoothly.
➢
This wheelchair is equipped with a 360 degree turn radius and is easy to operate with a little practice.
➢
There is a spring in the joystick that will return it to center neutral position automatically when the joystick is released.
➢
Gently push the joystick to the direction you want to go. The speed is limited to 3.75 mph.
➢
If you wish to slow down, simply release the joystick and it will come to a complete stop.
➢
When first using this wheelchair, you should operate it at the slowest speed setting.
➢
To move forward, press the joystick forward
slightly
in the direction you want to go.
➢
Practicing this exercise will help you to learn how to control the wheelchair step by
step and help familiarize you with the controls and successfully mastering the driving
skills of your electric wheelchair.
➢
Adjust the control panel to the appropriate speed settings before moving the joystick.
