Installing the printer driver under Windows NT 4.0
For a simple way of installing the printer driver, we recommend using the
Auto Run installer. (See “Installing the printer driver using the installer (Au-
to Run) under Windows” on page 3-15.)
However, there are other ways of installing the printer driver without using
the installer. This section provides information on installing the PagePro
1250E printer driver under Windows NT 4.0.
To install the printer driver using the Add Printer Wizard

Turn on the PC.

After Windows starts, insert the CD-ROM that came with your printer
into your PC’s CD-ROM drive.

Choose [Start], point to [Settings], and then choose [Printers].

Double-click the “Add Printer” icon.

Select “My Computer.”

Choose [Next].

Specify the ports you want to use and the choose [Next].

Choose [Have Disk], and then choose [Browse].

Browse the CD-ROM and navigate to “drivers\winnt\pcl
x\english” (for
the PCL printer driver) or “drivers\winnt\ps\english” (for the PostScript
printer driver). Then choose [Open].
