Replace as needed
If the cable drum brakes begin to lose the ability to hold the cable drums at the pressure required,
the brake pads may need to be replaced. Replace both pads on the cable drum.
1. Relieve the pressure in the brake system by opening the needle valve and the pump valve at the
hand pump. Rotate both knobs counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the cable drum rotor cover from the cable drum mount.
3. Replace the worn brake pads and replace with new. Replacement brake pads are available
from your local Ag-Bag dealer as a set of two by ordering part number 42.1500294.
4. After brake pads are replaced, bleed the air from the brake system using the bleeders on each
brake.
5. Check the brake rotors to be sure they are free of rust, clean and dry.
6. Replace the cable drum rotor cover before operating.
